What Polari is and what you will not find here

Polari serves AI-generated text and AI-generated images of fictional personas. Polari does not host user-uploaded photos, videos, or other media. If you believe an output on Polari infringes your copyrighted work, the steps below tell you how to send a takedown notice; if you believe an output identifies a real person without consent, please also see Terms of Use and the synthetic content notice.

How to send a notice of claimed infringement

To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, for multiple works on Polari, a representative list of the works).
  3. Identification of the material on Polari that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate that material (such as the message ID or page URL).
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Send the completed notice to dmca@polari.men or to the postal address above. Incomplete notices may be rejected.

Counter-notice

If material you control was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), which must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Polari may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of that person.

Send counter-notices to the address above. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice we will forward it to the original complainant; if the complainant does not file an action seeking a court order within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

Polari terminates the accounts of users who are determined, in appropriate circumstances, to be repeat infringers.

Misrepresentations

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents either that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. We may share your notice or counter-notice with the affected party and law enforcement.

Other takedown requests

For requests that do not concern copyright (for example, content that depicts or identifies a real person, defamation, privacy, or right-of-publicity claims), email support@polari.men. See also our Terms of Use and synthetic content notice.
